JTinIN
Was visting the M1 yesterday and looking a few few of the Kerr slings my SOT had, and begain thinking of what accessories that one could consider. Start of an accessory list is: Fourty five hard ball by the case. 30 round mags (couple dozen for a start) One complete gun/spare parts kit less receiver One field spare parts kit for range (i.e. bolt, springs etc.) - recommendations appreciated Some padded case to carry the M1 to the range - Cleaning kit for 45 in the range bag Then: More 45 hard ball - consider reloading again 20 (?) round mags - optional have two * Mag pouchs Historically Correct (have two picked up years ago from Ohio Ordance) Mag pouchs for range / field Kerr sling for dislays (the age and construction is a concern for use) Grand sling (or new reproduction) for any actual carring of the M1 * Gun case Historcially Correct * Cleaning kit Historically Correct * Internal Oiler (does a M1 use one? (replace with butt stock oil and washer)) * = Need to research Edited September 11, 2004 by JTinIN
Bill in VA
How about an oiler for the butt trap, and the little flat washers to keep it from rattling around? (RE: your last question/comment...The M1/M1A1 doesn't use a breech oiler like the '21s and '28s do.) Other than that you seem to have all the accessories down pat, unless you want to add a flat-fender Willys to carry your TSMG.

Thanks Need to pick a few of the classic TSMG books at the next KCR and would love to have a flat fender "JEEP" to go with the TSMG and the 1919A4! Did also trade into an early war M1 Carbine for an "accessory" (sorry to say the M2 Carbine was lost along with the MP5K host to fund the TSMG ... but both to guys that I shoot with) .
