Lancer
Does anybody have any info on the current whereabouts and condition of these guns? Tracie's book says that #6658 was sold to the Sandusky County Sheriff's Office (Ohio), #'s 6884 & 13306 were sold to the Fremont, Ohio P.D. When the Sheriff signed my form 4 this last spring he told me he remembered firing them when he was a young officer with the Fremont P.D. He thought they were traded for a couple of M-16's long ago. Murray
According to Gordon Herigstad's book, #6658 was sold to the Joe Miller dealer collection and is now owned by Mike Free of Pennsylvania. Mike will be at the SAR show next December. The other two guns are still listed as you describe.
Lancer
Murray, Thanks for the info. I would love to purchase anyone of these guns if the opportunity were ever to arise. Is Gordon Herigstad's book available anywhere? What is the title?
Murray
Glad to be of some limited help Lancer, Gordons book is called "Colt Thompson Serial numbers". It is very extensive. Hard bound A4 size pages and about 4 inches thick. Very heavy. You need four Russian women and an Elephant to lift it. Has all of the currently known history of the 15,000 Colt Thompsons and a mass of other information on things such as the Navy guns, the Rorke guns, the FBI guns, Dillinger etc, etc. It is a specialised limited and number edition. I own book number 123. I understand he is into the 400's now and just finalising the next edition which hw told me he would wish to have on sale at the SAR show in December. He upgrades existing editions as more information becomes avaliable. He can be contacted at gordoncolt@aol.com Regards Murray
Arthur Fliegenheimer
Murray, When does GH alert, or send, current owners of his serial number collection new updated info? I haven't heard a peep in nearly 2 years.

Sig
I spoke to Gordon about this not too long ago asking the same thing when the next update would be. If I remember correctly my last update was 2002 around December. Gordon mentioned an update in the not too distant future but for the life of me I can not remember how long he said it would be before that update would be. michael
TD.
Lancer, Gordon's book is an excellent investment if you appreciate the Colt Thompson. It is a great deal at $200.00. I did not buy one when I first heard of it figuring I would find one on the second hand market. That never happened; I was fortunate to purchase one of the last ones he had with his 2002 Third Edition - NO. 192. Does anyone on the board have one of the first 50 books?
