Fit Between Upper and Lower Receiver

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Is there supposed to be any movement between the upper and lower receiver when the upper is pulled towards the front and pushed towards the rear of the weapon? Is the interface between the two receivers so close in tolerance that there should be no movement and if there is movement is this a sign of excess wear? Thanks for any replies.

Checked mine today

Maybe a 32nd of play. It goes clack when I do it , so its not tight

Mine is well shot. Could be 10,000 rounds or more through it. I know its history and it has been a shooter to every owner.

When the gun was new there would be no movement with the receiver and trigger group.

Over time the hole in the receiver and /or the trigger frame become egg shaped.

One of my guns was so sloppy I had to increase the size of the hole in the receiver and make a custom locking bolt.

I consider this system a weak point in an otherwise robust gun,

I’ve got a bit of fore and aft slop in mine. Is there an approved way to remove or replace the frame latch button ? I think my gat needs a new one.

Having a sloppy fit isn't an issue.

My shooter gun does, I can say for sure I never notice it! And I just shot about 800 rounds yesterday.
