Need a 1/2" forward grip mount for M1

Sort of.

The one that gave up the ghost on my gun (the tab that rides on the back of the barrel shoulder broke) was a one piece, not a riveted bar. I'd really like to replace it with the same if possible. It was a type 2 (fin shaped barrel support) but I'm open to a type 1 (round support)

I think you've got your numbers reversed. The solid milled grip mount was the first type offered. The riveted type wasn't manufactured until the introduction of the M1/M1A1 series of guns. Most collectors refer to the milled type as the 1st variation.
