Just some general info that some may find useful:

My son received today his SBR Form 1 Tax Stamp via US Mail. It took 263 days (paper filing) from the ATF Acceptance Date to Stamp in hand. It was actually approved and signed on July 12th and took 11 days to get here. He's a Happy Camper!!! B)

I, as of today, am in 176 days on my paper filing SBR Form 1 .

Guess I still got awhile to wait..... :( :wacko: :happy:

Why are you paper filing Form 1s? Current e-filed From 1s are taking sub 30 days.

* for some people.

eFiled in October before the big rush came in. Stamp took 6 months.

eFiled 3 more exactly 30 days ago. Still haven't gotten that magical "status changed to approved" email. I'm not expecting them to come back till Thanksgiving time at the earliest. But I won't complain if they surprise me.

Fastest recent paper form 1 I've seen is one fellow who mailed his off 3/14/19 and got back the stamp in 3 months. Thats just crazy. Given that the ATF likes to drag their feet for my forms, I'm more inclined to just paper file so I get back a real stamp. Not a pdf of a stamp.

Because we didn't know about e-filing at the time.

Thanks for your input.

No worries, wasn't trying to be critical, just wondering if there was a reason why you chose paper filing. For people sitting at less than 6 months, it should be faster now to cancel your paper form and resubmit via eFile. Edited by b_san

BTW....

I am also in 226 days as of today for my Form 4 Suppressor Tax Stamp.

Yeah.... Paper Filed...…

:rolleyes:

Unfortunately there isn't a Form 4 available in the ATF eForms... yet. Average seems to be about 11-12 months at this time for Form 4 transfers unless you get lucky with a batch approval.

HA! I was just complaining yesterday and this morning those 3 stamps are approved. Tell me the ATF isn't watching us. :P
