28 Thompson 80% Uppers

Recommended Posts

Hi. You can't use a 1928 80% TSMG Receiver to build a Semi-Auto. You can however, use a Richardson Semi-Finished SA Receiver. Whether or not Doug has these in Stock, I'm unaware. He does have a Catalog available for $5.00. Send to: D.W. Richardson, 2100 McReynolds Rd., Malibu, Ca, 90265.

The consensus seems to be that Doug's receivers are more accurate in detail, better finished, than others out there. He also does the engraving to authentic standards. Other manufacturers choose not to do engravings at all.

The semi auto receivers are one tenth of an inch shorter, from top to bottom, than the 80% receivers, which are intended to be made into dummy guns. They are not available to be used to make a semi auto gun like the Numrich/Kahr guns.

Doug Richardson makes both display receivers of full size dimensions, and both 1921/28 and M-1 type semi auto, semi-finished receivers, which are intended to use Kahr parts, and modified TSMG parts.
