TD.
Merle is still in business and has .22 caliber Thompson kits for sale. He also has a complete line of spare parts. I spoke with him earlier this week.
MauserMatt
Ahh.. I just wish he'd take a card.... I'd love to have one of his kits. I have a stockpile of 22 that I rarely shoot.... I'll have to just get a money order and order from him...
pstidan
My PK fit and tuned Merle kit runs just fine in my WH '28. PK fit a Numrich .22lr mag adapter and I use 30 round Squire Bingham banana mags. No problems here.

Roland the Thompsongunner
I just got one of Merle's kits about a week ago. I had to do a little bit of fitting with the barrel in my gun to get it to drop in place. Not a big deal just some time with a file. Other than that, this thing runs 100 percent right out of the box with the drum and stick mags. The rate of fire is great and its tons of fun. My son couldnt stop grinning after firing it. Grasshopper
Hi All, Nothing like bringing an old thread back to life. There were some comments about loaders for the 22RF conversion. Well I bought one of the McFadden Lightning Grip Loaders awhile back. For plastic stuff, this loader can really, really load a magazine fast. I started with one of their AR-15/22 loaders and BDM AR-mags. Then I decided to do adapters for the BDM plastic mags and the JAC aluminum billet mags. (The adapter does not work with the earlier JAC steel conversion mags due to the lip on the front of the 45 mag body.) To make a long story short, I just doubled how fast I go through ammo. I can load a 30 round BDM or JAC stick mag in about 20 seconds. We are having our annual Range Expo this weekend. I should go through about 2000 rounds. That will give me some idea of the life of the plastic loader. The loader is amazing. Enjoy! Grasshopper
