allweaponsww2
Hello everyone! Does anyone know something about STEN MK II (S) w IR scope? This seems unusual to me. Edited May 7, 2020 by allweaponsww2
m3bobby
An experimental system prior to the war ending so never entered service.
AlanDavid
Post war experimental project. The small pack on the soldiers back contains the battery. How things have changed in terms on night vision, Regards AlanD
m3bobby
According to the imperial war museum it’s late WW2 rather than post war.
pitfighter
These infrared scopes are great looking, the Germans had the Vampyr and accompanying scopes for their tanks, as did the Allies. However. If your enemy is also using them, and they were fielded by both sides, there is the serious issue of that lamp becoming a whopping-great flashlight for him to zero in on. Anyway, I'm sure all you guys know this and the accompanying stories, thought I'd add it. That Sten looks very cool and I've not seen one before, with the addition of the suppressor that looks like a nifty anti guard dog/sniper tool.
