Frank Iannamico
I may have missed any current reports, any show up yet? If so; what condition; manufacturer? etc.

Mike Hammer
Frank: As far as I know all of these are back ordered untill the very end of December and if they come through on time people won't get them untill Jan. If anyone has heard otherwise please chime in. Mike Hammer

john
I was over to the Sportsman's Guide outlet store last Monday and noticed a drum on their back wall (behind te gun counter). I asked to see it and it was a Kahr drum with a $399.00 price tag on it! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif I explained to the man present what it was and he said he didn't know anything about them but they had some in their catalog for that price. I explained that the catalog drums were listed as genuine WWII new surplus and he said he didn't know anything about that. I don't think this was representative of what was in their catalog, but I haven;t seen a drum in their store in years! I asked another guy who recognizes me whenever I shop there and he said this wasn't one of the WWII drums, and that they had heard nothing new on them. Sooooo, we wait some more. Unless you want a $400 Kahr drum!! (not me!) I'll try to keep you posted if I hear anything new! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif john
Johne49
John, It is nice to know someone has visited the store. I have had telephone and e-mail contact with Sportsman's Guide and received the same end of December shipping date . The only reason I bought a membership was to take advantage of the (Original WWII) drum deal. I’m expecting my usual lump of coal for Christmas. However, I’m going to be an unhappy camper if I get a Kahr drum in the mail http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif
HK91
John, I must have talked to the same person at Sportsman's Guide Outlet as you did.
john
To All. Usually when the guide offers something for sale they either have it in their warehouse or incoming. These were apparently ordered and have yet to clear customs, or they would be in the hands of we who ordered them. And as to whether they'll clear customs is anyones guess, although all the other mags, pouches and stuff apparently from Russia have been on the market for over a year! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif I even saw a bunch of (Russian?) 20 rd. mags and pouches (brand new) at the Big Tulsa show last spring, and the person selling them was set up right next door to a BATFE http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ph34r.gif table!! (yep! Agents at the show! Asked them about a pending transfer and they said they were only there to answer questions!) My best guess is that the Guide will come through with some pretty nice drums (and I hope maybe in the original factory boxes?? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif ) We shall see.... BTW, if anyone is considering ordering anything from the Guide and wants it "checked out" first (for quality or condition...) let me know. Email me the order numbers and I'll check it out next time I get over there. I usually try to hit the store every month or so...... john
