Shorter Front Sight.

Recommended Posts

For information only- in the picture below is a 27 with detacheable stock. About 300 total including stock, hardware and proper fitting of the adapter plate by PK, including replacing the screws that came with the plate with better quality ones. I am not attempting to disparage anyone, just showing you choices. Ignore the monkey in the picture.

Now THAT is what I'm talkin' about TAB. That is the "look" that I'm going for with my '27. Did you have the barrel cut and comp welded for a 16" total oal ? That is a very nice looking Tommy gun. One extra thing that I think makes the price alittle higher is that the lower will be milled to '28 specs. Funny thing is that I used to do some machine work and if I had the equiptment it wouldn't be all that hard to so alittle mill work. I really, really do like the looks of the '28 removable stock, looks like I'll have to e-mail ya' PK and get a price list on what you charge for your work, or heck, you've got my e-mail, shoot me a price list if ya' got one. Maybe I can do some things sooner rather than later. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif Talk to ya'll later and as I'm 1/2 Irish, Happy St. Patricks Day everyone. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ph34r.gif

Frank, better yet, go with an origianl Lyman http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif FWIW, Doug Richardson carries reproduction '21/28 Front Sight Blades. His contact info is in the FAQ. Frank, you may want to order his catalog. Full of Thompson goodies!

Frank, I had the comp moved back over the barrel, but left the barrel at 16 ". Easier to clean the comp if I ever shoot unjacketed bullets. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif

Yeah, I realized after I posted you'd meant to do a bit more fitting, mine has the gap. You should know deerslayer made that longer horizontal grip, which helps make the barrel look shorter too.

But thanks, I like how it turned out very much.
