Phil Askew
We had a guy bring 3 Colt Thompsons to the Novi show and had Tracie inspect them. Nice guns but 2 had some incorrect wood. E-mail me at philfordparts@yahoo.com if you can help. I will put you in direct contact with this gentleman.
Paladin601
Not to be a snob, but, would that be changing falsely changing a collector piece?

ppgcowboy
Not to be a snob, but, would that be changing falsely changing a collector piece?I think it would be making an incorrect Colt a correct one. Same as putting in actual 21 internals into one that that was sold with GI internals.
mnshooter
Agree with the restoration of non-serial numbered parts. It was falsely changed when someone JCE'd it with incorrect wood. On the topic: What would be a likely selling price range for a nice set of Colt wood with all 6 screws and butt stock metal? (Embarrassed and Corrected: There are 6 screws total; four machine and two wood). (No; don't have any to sell; just wondering).
