Reising Model 60 .45cal CIA

While looking for something else on the Central Intelligence Agency, Library website, I came across a listing of some Model 60 guns with serial numbers.

 

Perhaps a forum member has one?

 

February 1961

 

#175 noted as 'Sil', which I think means silenced.

#308 noted as 'w/ silencer".

#423

 

June 1956

No serial number listed, shown as being at Atsugi.

 

January 1956

# 525 noted as '(Sil)' located at Olin

I have that same CIA serial number list. The number of silenced Model 60's listed also surprised me. I imagine those weapons have probably been destroyed by now. Maybe not, but probably so...

i have # 224, commerical blue, finned bbl. i bought it at a gun show in va. in 1970, if it could only talk, just sayn.

I have #213 , blued , finned barrel with long flash hider , #255 blued , finned barrel , no flash hider.

They don't part with much unless someone walked away with one or lost one? Or was given one as a gift? I was through both museums and don't recall any suppressed Reisings? They had a number of firearms on display and some were out that are not normally out for view including an M14. Lots of gadgets, but they don't really do guns.
