Savage question

Could use a regular 1928A1 parts kit to make a 1928 savage commercial thompson? Thanks, luke:)

S1928 has different parts than a 1928 a1 WW2 variety

 

what parts are you trying to replicate?

 

selectors are different

mag latch is different

some internals can be in the white/nickel

wood is different

receiver is different of course

 

trying to make a look alike?

Reading " American Thunder " as if it is a text book. Unless you have a photographic mind, That I don't posses , you need to read it several times and I make notes. I go back and read them again every few years just to refresh my knowledge. I learn something new every time I read them.

 

With the knowledge on this board and the several good Thompson books I have a basic knowledge of the Thompson but learning more every day.

Same my absolute DREAM is a 1921 colt thompson but again even if the law was changed the original parts are almost impossble to find if they are even REAL and expensive very very expensive but hey maybe i can make my own:)
