Lets assume you had the opportunity to purchase a new production C drum that was identical to a Colt product in every respect except for its year of manufacture.

If you had a choice between an exact replica of the original spring retaining system (with it’s propensity for breaking springs) or a newly designed system that would positively prevent spring breakage, which would you choose?

Keep in mind that the new system would not be visible externally.

I'll take ANY "C" drum for $400 to $500!

EDIT: If counting, I would probably take two if you are feeling out interest. I am curious too... I thought new "C"''s are just a pipe dream at this time. Whats up?

Chris.

Paul,

I assume these poll results aren't merely a matter of hypothetical or academic interest to you? DO TELL!!! C'mon, stop being coy and spit it out! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif

Oh yeah ... I'd be in for one.

I'm not too interested in authenticity of the spring design. I agree with the rest on the price range. Count me in, if you are thinking of tooling up.

I would like to add, that I would not pay more than the range I talked about there, $400-500. Not one cent more.

Beta C mags are $239. I am talking about paying TWICE that for the working C drum.

hey john did you a get any beta's for your m-16 yet??take care, ron

Yes, I am supposed to have a Beta C on the way. I ordered it back in early July.

I would go for 2 "C" drums also- Should the L drums materialize also I doubt I would go back to stick mags very soon. Cross our collective fingers and hope these can get done too. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif

I'd buy a functional right out of the box C drum. Fantastic hope this becomes a reality- I'll take at least two. Thanks.
