huggytree
ive got a opportunity to buy 1 of these slings....i do not have my reference book yet and rate a 0 for being an expert...i know they should have the diamond pattern and have 2 holes to be correct....the brown sling appears to have a 3rd hole, but im wondering if that was just cut into it by the original user...also i see no markings which concerns me as it seems Germany marked everything.... opinions on quality and being legit i do not have a price on them yet...just considering them
colt21a
They look like dead snakes to me and cond. Blah, Either find a real deal minty one or buy a darn new repro and yes Diamond pattern or late war plain is correct some did get marked some did not. And two hole is correct three hole is K-98, G-43 K-43.Hopefully that pile is not priced over $65 or so shipped. They had a few repro's at SAR show for $50 and a few wanted over $100 for repro's stating minty original.Bought a repro there for 40 bucks. working on getting some done when the MP-38S come in since they are not supplying any slings. And a 100 Magazines. Should be Feb. 2018 sometime.Colt 21A Ron
huggytree
i sent pics to Bergflak to get his opinion....he said both are real...3rd hole is an improvised hole...i can see it...someone cut the hole in their...either way i chose the top one..$100 shipped....i think it looks nice and for $100 why not.... ive seen these selling for $250 on GB....dont know if any ever sold for that price, but for $100 and added onto an existing order why not! im not a fan of the sling, but for some reason on a MP40 it just looks right im not looking for a brand new/excellent condition....my gun is not a brand new/excellent condition gun either..just looking for an authentic sling in basic condition.... colt21a
So that is what you get for a $100 a real MP-40 sling to put on a real MP-40, And that is the normal deal for slings in that cond. $250 or more pipe dream or they are selling to the super rich... But the super rich want deals...hey you got one. now we are done with the MP-40... happy happy Colt21A Ron
huggytree
no not done....got offered red pistol grips now to go along with my other grips.....no price, just make me an offer....got the gun for next to nothing and now im spending thousands on mags, parts and upgrades...kinda funny.......i have fears on these grips since i read how rare they are...almost certain a fake except for who they are coming from....most likely i will pass on the grips...i have to call it quits at some point or ill have built a brand new gun out of my rewelded cheapy anyone further interested that lower sling is $100 + shipping.....authenticated by Bergflak as being real...if it didnt have the 3rd hold punched i would have bought both and sold one to make a few bucks.....i dont see many real slings on GB...right now there are 0...i dont want the problem child grip whereas i have to try to prove it was a hole punched by a soldier and not the factory. i can see it is, but its easier to prove if it has 2 holes like it should from the start Ron---i think that top one looks very nice condition.......sounds like these were used post war, so its been handled in the field for 20+ years and in storage for 57 more years...i think it looks darn nice....too bad its not stamped SS somewhere on it Edited December 8, 2017 by huggytree
colt21a
If there was such a thing as a S.S. marked sling. Everybody runs around with ink stamp S.S. marking everything today. And peddling as original.worse is the K-98 Sniper rifles. And the Black Widow Luger made up name by a American collector to make them sound more "Evil" A collector world so much fun, I am sure if I get this deal done on these MP-38's Somebody will SBR one and say they got a full auto and made it semi to be legit... And ask more bucks.. that won't fly of course. It is wiser to sell a Semi brand new made MP-38 to fill the hole in collector's case's who can't afford $40 grand for a real ww2 model. huggytree
He has been great and helping me verify some things. Of course I bought a bunch from him already. I was going to buy some mags but the quality was less than I wanted.

huggytree
Folke advertises his products on subguns or sturm. I forget which one. look up Suomi coffin mags for sale and you will find his email. He has posts for selling mp40 mags. Saw one for reising barrels. His prices are always fair and quality is good. Hes got $1500 from me now and I trust him to ship end of feb when he comes here to his warehouse. I had 1 rusty coffin mag and he swapped it for an excellent one. All these guys are good. Finding the good guys to buy from in the mp40 marketplace. I think that sling was a bargain today. Find another for sale right now? Its not there
