PK Does it again! (Was: Photo test)

Recommended Posts

I asked this question a couple of times with out receiving an answer.

Has anyone seen or heard of what a PK'd Hurley sold for?

How much do you think his work affected the value??

Thanks,

Darryl

Hey, Darryl,

I think maybe you didn't get any answers because that might be a tough question to answer! PK does custom work. Every owner will request something different. It would depend on what was done, and how knowledgable the buyer is. One potential buyer might realize that any WH probably needs work (even considerable work) to be reliable. Someone else, unfamiliar with PK's work and the shortcomings of WH TSMGs, might see such a gun as having been messed with. I'm confident that a trip to PK will eventually enhance this guns' value, enough so that I asked PK to stamp the receiver with his Diamond K logo. JMHO, of course!

That's what I thought as well.

You'd think that if one did decide to sell, it would be a huge

selling point.

I've got two in waiting, one needs lots of work, the other (M1) very little.

I'll definitely have PK stamp both for sure.

Thanks,

Darryl

The fact that it had been recently PKed was absolutely the reason I bought the 1928AC I did. When you're shelling out that kind of money, then waiting forever for the paperwork to clear, only to then possibly find out a gun isn't quite "right", the "PK premium" is worth every penny.

A PKed WH with some miles on it is worth vastly more to me than a NIB unknown quantiy that might take years and additional cash to make do what it was designed to do. These guns are supposed to be fun, not exercises in frustration and patience! My 2 cents.
