Hi folks,

Just joined your club. After years of fanboying, searching and hoping to find one fine genuine AO Tommygun, my dreams really came true now…

I was able to get my hands on a very beautiful WH A1 over here in Switzerland. As I found out here in the forums already, this baby must've been produced somewhen back in '76 as the serial no. is pretty low (3194).

I haven't shot her yet but I'm really lookin forward to do so in the next few days.

Yeah, never paid attention to the fins but just noted that. Thanks for the hint!

Does anyone of you know what's about the cocking knob? My one has the one I often find referred to as the "cheese grater"?

And then, there's another one that's more ball shaped. Is that an AO / Kahr thing or something else?

The "cheese grater" original big knob was on both WH and Kahr rifles. Kahr later introduced a smaller knob that more closely resembled a submachine gun actuator knob. The big knob was intended to make it easier to cock the very stiff factory recoil springs.
