DougStump
A guy I know bought a S&W 76 (why?). When it got here to the local C3 dealer, he mailed off the transfer paperwork to the ATF. He expected the approval to come back in the mail within three to five business days. He's a retired college professor, and he knows everything. I told him it can take up to three months, and it can be kicked back for any minor error, his response was basically that I don't know nothing. He's called the ATF every day to check on the status (I'm sure that will speed things up). The guy also demanded the C3 hand over the firearm, without the transfer being approved, and threatened to take the dealer to court. He paid for it and he wants it now! He's got a LOT to learn! Arthur Fliegenheimer
Now let us not denigrate the smg that stared in films "The Omega Man," "Prime Cut," "Black Sunday," "Mr. Majestic," "Pellum 1-2-3," to name a few. It sure looks and operates better than the Greaser.

Mike Hammer
Arthur, by listing those films you have convinced me that I need to add one to my collection. I'll never forget Chuck Heston jumping up out of his jeep to nail some of the "family" with his trusty S&W 76, great stuff! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Mike Hammer

fred
Let us not forget the role of the 76 in Magnum Force. Pool scene. Suzanne Summers topless. Priceless. Also The Getaway, Dog Day Afternoon.
