Stemple STG1928 (Copy of 1928 TSMG) Shooter Arrived Yesterday

Recommended Posts

For a Great Price I had to try this variant. Has a GI AO Lower and thats where the similariy ends. Its a round tube housed inside a square receiver, the tube being the registered part. Built like a tank and runs flawlessly. Just a toy and investment

but interesting variant and fun. Springs available to change the cyclic rate.. You can mount an optic on a picatinny rail, quick change barrels. Very ingenious machining. Early gun, serial number less than 100. And BRP corp will inspect it for nothing and only charge you for parts needed but it runs like a "sewing machine"!!

I just received mine a few weeks ago. It also runs like a sewing machine on drums and stick mags (drums are more fun :D :D) The outer receiver is just an aluminum cover that fits over the stemple round tube receiver. The outer cover on my gun has a dark bluing finish to it im am not sure why the one in the pic haris posted looks that way, maybe just the camera?.I think it would look better if its all parked the same color. The engineering behind it is genius imo. There is a tutorial on you tube showing the complete tear down. Its worth watching if you have questions how this all works. Here is a pic of mine. I replaced the L sight with the later version. I have a hard time keeping a straight face at the local indoor range when someone is asking me about my WW2 "thompson". One of the videos is a drum the other a 30 round stick mag.

I got mine at $8700 from a guy on gunbroker who bought it new in 2011 just when they redesigned it to take drums.

ts very ingenious in that anyone can change a barrel or anything in it. I can enjoy feel of a M1a1 and not do any wear and tear to

a real M1a1. Ask Petroleum 1. And yes they have a stiffer spring that will slow it down. Next time I shoot it, I will have a timer and get its cyclic

rate.

all the BRP's seem to sell in the $8-9k range 2nd hand...his market now is people new to NFA...willing to pay $4-5k extra to get a new gun from the manufacturer.......its a 33% loss the second you buy that gun.......and he sells them, every one of them (good for him!)

when he finally runs out of tubes maybe the demand will go up for the 2nd hand ones and go up to where his prices are
