Bruce L
Just ran across these folks' website and was looking at buttstock slide. Does anyone have any experience with this company and this product in particular? Thanks guys!
Grey Crow
I purchased a few things from Damon, and hope to soon order the slide. The one that is on my 28 stock is alloy and shows it. The shipping was very fast and great service.

TommyGunner
Bruce, I would never let anyone go away unhappy. If you don't love it...return it and I will give you all your money back. If you should feel it needs some fitting, send us your frame and we will fit the slide to it for you. Let me know if I can help you. Thanks, Damon
Norm
I have purchased a stock slide assembly from Tommygunner.com. I was pleased with slide. VERY high quality machining of good steel. No cast junk from here. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Also, nicely finished and shipped in cosmoline; so it can sit in the safe for fifty years if it is a spare part. I told him (the owner of Tommygunner) that he should tool up and make 28 frames as they are scarce now. Norm

Grey Crow
I bought a slide assembly from Damon, and it arrived today. The finish and quality are very good. All of his stock slides have serial numbers, and he can also place the serial number of your gun on the stock slide if you like. The metal to wood fit is excellent on the 28 stock I have. I had to make a few adjustments to it as well as the slide adapter that Numrich sells. When Numrich Arms made the adapters at the rear of the plate, where the metal is turned upwards it caused the stock slide to bind. I attempted to straighten it unsuccessfully, and ended up using my Dremel to smooth the top area to allow it to go on easily. Keep in mind that the stock slides are patterned after the Colt style and will most likely slide easily onto a 28 or 21 frame. I own a Kahr 27A1 that has a M1A1 style frame, so I needed to Dremel the inside area of the rails of the stock slide a bit in order to clear the frame area just above the slide attachment. The end result is a very secure and free of the play that the alloy style stock slide has. The addition was a good choice, and the steel stock slide is far superior to the alloy that came with the stock. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Earle
I ordered a stock slide from Damon two weeks or so ago, and since I was coming to New York for the weekend we arranged a meeting. Just spent the morning with him and a few of his friends - my new slide is an absolutely beautiful piece of workmanship, I can't wait to get home and install it on my WH 1928 and get rid of the alloy junk that's on there now - and Damon and his friends are quality people. I spent the morning trying to talk them into moving to a Class 3 friendly state! I have no doubt that if you bought something from him and were not completely satisified, he would make it right. Regards, Earle
TommyGunner
Thanks Earle (also Norm and Grey Crow) ! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif I am glad you like the slide. Motorcar
Thanks for posting the photos of true American heros. Nice to know we average citizens have fine people like that defending our homes. My only question is why can't he carry the Thopmson as his personal sidearm? I'm sure his men would understand. After all they were U.S. Navy issue at one time. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
