timkel
I see several shot timers on Amazon but reviews are mixed. Is there one that is reliable for calculating rate of fire?
ppgcowboy
I bought an app called myrpm pro several years ago and it works great. Problem is I no longer see it in the Google app store. Maybe Google removed it for some reason. It was specifically designed to measure machinegun ROF. DINK
I use a PACT Mk IV so there's no need to do calculations. Just push the "RPM" button and fire away. Also a chronograph and regular shot timer.
timkel
The PACT IV looks good. But I don't need a chrono. Right now I'm looking at the PACT Cub shot timer 3. Any opinions on this one?https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1015219547?pid=966974
DINK
There's nothing in the description that indicates there's an "RPM" mode, so you would have to take the data from it and do the math. It would work, but wouldn't be as convenient as just reading "649 RPM" off the screen.
StrangeRanger
Response time isn't necessarily going to be adequate without the RPM mode. I have an older timer that works fine for recording pistol/rifle times but gets a bit lost and misses shots with an SMG.
timkel
Doing the math is not a deal killer for me. But it would be convenient to have a direct display. I'm going to have to do more research.
Shattered
Pact MK IV has an RPM mode for the happy switch guns. No calculating...just read it.
