huggytree
With all this high prices Morphys is getting for 38a and 38/42s Im thinking of selling my 38/44. Its all original w expected wear and runs 100%. Post war. Mine is the only one Ive ever seen for sale, so I dont know prices. If a ww2 38/42 gets $57,000 at Morphys Id guess my gun has decent value too????
StrangeRanger
Berettas, all Berettas, used to be $12-16K guns not so very long ago. Everything WWII-era has gone up in price recently but none seem to have escalated quite as rapidly as the Berettas. I have zero idea why.

maxfaxdude
Ive listed mine on GB https://www.gunbroker.com/item/888992147Why not just cut to the chase and make a it a true auction with a penny start? I'd bet that it would easily sell for $15K+.

ranger1385
I see in your listing you got a extra 38/42 barrel? Are you gonna sell it also? I don't have much rifling left on mine, may want a spare. I also bought mine about six years ago and almost choked when I saw that auction price. huggytree
Ive noticed sturm guns sell very slowly and often for less than market. Id have Rodney offering me $5,000 . And guys treating my Ad like its a forum asking stupid questions Ive sold guns on GB that got bid up to significantly more than expected. With this gun Im not sure of value. I might get 0 bids, 1 bid or could get a few. We will see what the market is. I dont need to sell it. Ive got 10 watchers in 10 hours. With sturm id have 1-2 stupid questions by now. Sturmgewehr is free and has a more focused audienceMore free advertising, that's why! Seller and buyer can agree on a private transaction off of Gunbroker (really just a middle man) and poof -- no sales tax or GB seller's premium. huggytree
My spare barrels are nicer in appearance than the ones listed from apex with minty bores. I am asking more for mine though. My fluted barrel might be nos
Petroleum 1
Im watching this auction too. I have a smooth barrel 38/42 bring back with the 4UT stamp on the stock. I cant imagine its worth the same or close to a MP44 now.

DZelenka
GunBroker is now charging sales taxes on all sales unless you have a tax exemption. I am not sure how that will affect the higher prices items, but I don't see it as a positive. Dan

It will be billed to the seller in the same way that the GunBroker fees are billed. If the seller does not collect the tax, he will still be billed for it. GunBroker does an invoice for each transaction that has the taxes listed on it.
huggytree
I took a few videos of it running today and posted them in my ad. Dont laugh too hard at my phone falling over. I think Ruben/MWT/Spiwak should include a function video with their ads. It cant hurt! Im getting lots of followers and a few emails on the gun. I think it may sell. At a minimum its been noticed. I listed my fluted 42 barrel. Im assuming its pretty rare? ive only seen 1 other and mine looks like it could be NOS Edited January 8, 2021 by huggytree
