tcgoll
I am considering selling my Amnesty registered M1 to help finance a Colt 1921. It is a WWII bringback fron the Pacific that has never been refinished. I have been using it as a shooter for the last few years, but have a Pearl M1A1 on the way. The 1921 has local history including paperwork from the factory in 1935, and copys of transfer from original owner (PD) to the later owners. I will probably have to put another 8-10 K with what I sell the M1 for. Any suggestions.
Walter63a
I'd, personally, like to have both the MI and the 1921! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif However, you should consider whether you are more interested in local vs. WWII Pacific Theatre history. Also, whatever extra you sink into purchasing a 1921, will, undoubtedly, be more than recoverable in a few years. [Also, try to find out as much as you can about the 1921, including recent photos and a personal inspection (by you), prior to purchase.] That is, provided that some new Federal Law is not passed, outlawing automatic weapons completely (in the next few years/decades)!!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif
Arthur Fliegenheimer
tcgoll, If this Colt TSMG is in 90% condition with all that great paperwork, then I would suggest doing whatever it takes to purchase it. The local Colt PD gun actually has a paper trail whereas the docmentation on the M1 "bringback" can only consist of speculation.
DDAYJune6
You could save it until I turn 21 http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
full auto 45
Email me some pictures. I know somebody looking for one. Not me by the way, I'm working on the Colt PD guns still.
tcgoll
I will have the M1 at the Western Thompson Shoot in Kingman the 3-4 of April. I have shot it there 2 out of the last 3 years. I will only sell it after I get the M1A1 as a Shooter.

full auto 45
$8500?
Paul in PA
I would say that $8,500 may be on the low side for an asking price. Just look on the board. Most are asking over ten. I have seen GI M-1A1s with asking prices of $11,500, $12,00 and $12,500 in the last two weeks. Is that to say you will get that, no. But if you ask $8,500, I am willing to offer $7,500 plus you pay the transfer tax. You can always come down, but you are not going to get more than your asking. Just my two cents. Asked $10K for my matching MP-40 with spares, got $9K three years ago.
John Jr
If you are going to send offers, its better via email to the seller directly. There are board members who will pay more than $7,500. I will offer $8,500 myself cash tommorow and I pay all taxes, and I know another board member who will offer more than me if its the gun he wants.
