Pete
From a prior thread of mikebaker1129: "There is a Golden state imported converetd M1 to BM59 configuration by Beretta on Gunbroker now." I wonder what the reserve is on this one? Oh boy! Another, to me, Holy Grail BM59 rifle for sale. I'd like to get that one. Or the Holy Grail BM59 rifle could be that different stamped BM59 heel that was for sale a couple of years ago on Gunbroker. Does anybody remember the stamped heel? It is stamped with another city, not Gardone, and is entirely stamped different. So far, I know of two Golden State arms that are owned by members(anybody else own these rifles) and have seen two or is it three for sale on Gunbroker. I wonder if one could purchase the Class 3 Full-Auto internals/mechanisms legally, of course, and build up a Full-Auto BM59 rifle from these Golden State Arms BM59 rifles. You know like buying the sears for the H&K rifles or AR15/M16 rifles. Take Care and Be Safe y'all!

(not mine and I don't know the seller) http://www.subguns.com/classifieds/index.c...query=retrieval I don't know if there are any registered bm59 sears out there or just complete guns. I've only seen complete rifles. Edited October 18, 2010 by BaghdadBob

Tells us more whenever you get her! Check the buttstock compartment. And inform us of the stampings and markings! So, jealous! Pete
mongo141
I have one of these. Marked, Licenced by P. Beretta Gardone, Italy and Santa Fe M-59 cal. 7.62mm NATO and Golden State Arms Corp. ....I bought it about 20+/- years ago used from a gun shop. Had a cut down Garand barrel and a Garand gas cylinder with a modified Garand op rod. Complete with a "10 round mag" made from a cut down BM 59 mag. Didn't shoot worth a damn so I went out and bought every part that I could find from Springfield Armory Barrel , OP rod, Gas cylinder etc, etc that was marked as being a Beretta part. and 3 mags. I used to accurize M1's for competion so I gave it the treatment. and shot it over the course for a season til the powers that be decided that the "Tri Compensator" wasn't legal and made me go back to the Garand. That M-59 would shoot MOA with 168gr Sierra's over 41.5gr of 4895 in LC68 cases. Have never tried it with the bipod but I can guess the groups would open up some what. Oh well I still have the rifle and take it out and shoot once in a while and get the usual questions "Is that an M14"? Regards, Dave
