ppgcowboy
Are there any members in Southwest Montana willing to go over my Thompson with me once the transfer takes place. Would like to get a little advise from someone with a little knowledge.
Sig
Welcome to the Thompson boardsNoted the aviation interest I am a pilot, but I had to look up didgeridoo! As for anyone in Montana, bet there is someone but if you really want to give your new acquisition a go over, come to one of our Thompson events.Plenty of RKI's and Thompson collectibles to drink in.Perhaps someone could take a look at your new Thompson before it transfers to you into your dealer in Montana? Just a thought.

mnshooter
Doug Richardson's book: Thompson Submachinegun Workshop Manual (new edition) is available directly from him.It covers just about everything you would need to inspect and maintain your purchase. Except how much fun you will have. Much of the information is already available through this board, but the book provides it in an orderly reference form. Once you know how to take it apart, post detailed close up photos here, and you'll get even more information. ppgcowboy
It is a 1921/28 over stamp. I held one in my hand when I was ten. I was enamored ever since, and am now in the position to make one my baby. I have been reading everything I can. There is a local show next week I will be going from booth to booth to. I will pick up Thompson Submachinegun Workshop Manual. Youtube has been a decent reference too. Thanks all for the replys.
