What Does the "R" on the Selector Switch Stand For

I tried searching for the answer, but didn't locate it.  What does the "R" on the selector switch of a STEN MK II stand for?  I assume the "A" stands for automatic.

I was re-looking at Frank's book, The British STEN Manual for Shooters and Collectors, and see on page 30 the "R" stands for repetition.  I've got the MP40 (BK) and Thompson (ATII) books too.  Great resources.

We Brits still use Repetition with the current service rifle, the L85 although some call it Rounds.
