21/28 Non Crossbolt Stock

Question...whats a non cross bolt stock worth these days? Is there anyway to tell the differance in a 21 and 28 stock? hope my questions aint too stupid...just new the detailed info on tommy's...Reason i ask is because my 28 project is based on an original 28 "prewar" with finned barrel and compensator and foregrip?? am i correct??..which would also.. if correct would have a non crossbolt stock..am i correct? I have 3 28 stock sets right now..2 crossbolts and the 1 non cross bolt...just trying to get my gun

Wolfer: I guess this has been gone over so many times already so...Thompson buttstocks did not begin to receive the crossbolt modification untill 1943, so yes you should use a no-bolt. Another early feature on '28's were the adjustable Lyman rear sight and finned barrel, milled swivels (not stamped). Hope this helps.

There is a guy selling complete 21 and 28 wood sets ,any stain shade lite or dark ,fancy grain,etc.,that he grows, harvests,shapes etc.for under 200 US.He advertised 1-2 months ago on Bowers or Buddys.It sounds reasonable for 3 pieces of prime wood IMO.
