cubfanpbrman
Had my eyes on a few Reisings, but alas, too high for my tastes (the 23% additional fee hurts). Here's the scoop (all dates are my pathetic research): Lot 1077 Serial #: 10876 (28 fin) 19421 20-round magazineSale Price: $5,500 Lot 2027 Serial #: 2305 (28 fin) 1941-42 2 20-round magazinesSale Price: $6,500 Lot 2036 Serial #: S5317 (14 fin) 19571 12-round magazineSale Price: $7,
StrangeRanger
Lots 2027 and 2036 haven't hammered yet, those are the early bidding prices. Both will go for a bit more. I was wrong. Apparently no one entered an in person bid for either of them. The early bidding prices held. Add the premium and taxes and 2027 went for $7995 out the door and 2036 for $8610 That is stupid money. There are nice $6K Reisings all over the net. 2027 is a particularly nice example but IMNSHO it's not $2K worth of extra nice. 2036 is especially strange. It's a Numrich gun tossed together out of left-over parts and some of them like the 12-round-only mag well are probably the wrong parts. The DEA evidence sticker might add some provenance value but $8.6K??? Someone was off their meds. Edited October 24, 2019 by StrangeRanger
skoda
That's the funny thing about auctions; once in a while someone gets a real bargain but most of the time they pay above the 'going rate'. The 20% buyers premium is way out there.
Black River Militaria CII
I have offered, and still do, an excellent plus example of Numrich military model with all correct features including fluted magwell, for $5000 and had only one response. Guns were built on commercial registered receivers, look great and run perfectly. These guns can just as easily be returned to commercial spec with some effort in finding the parts. StrangeRanger
So you're selling basically the same gun as 2036 and you're only asking 5K? That seems underpriced to me. My Reising is also a Numrich gun. Parkered, 14 fin, 20 round mag well, 3 hole trigger guard etc. The stock is a little rough. Nothing special. Runs 100% with factory and Christie mags. I figured it would be worth around $5.5K if I were to sell it, which I am not about to do. I just cannot wrap my head around an additional $3K for pretty and/or the DEA sticker. Got Uzi
Black River-I might have a buyer for your Reising at $5,000 after he shoots one this weekend. I will let you know.
