Sig
What are the legal requirements if any regarding a display gun and muzzle or barrel being painted or marked red? (Yes Colt Thompson - Doug Richardson receiver) If you can be specific on the location of the legal requirements being federal or otherwise by state that would be appreciated? thanks michael
PK.
I can't provide the detail you desire, but my understanding is that this is an import requirement- once the product is in country, the red flag may be removed. Otherwise there would need to be a zilloin new cops just to arrest all the kids who take them off their plastic toys. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif
Sig
PK thanks I never suspected that. Maybe this is a question for TMAN?
Tman
I can't seem to find any Federal reg or law making folks put a red plug or such on display or toy guns. Maybe it some kind of consumer law.
Sig
Eventually my Richardon display gun will sit in my office on one of Gordon's stands. No plan to ever touch it other then a wipe once in a while. thanks
Fencer
QUOTE (Sig @ Mar 23 2004, 06:29 PM) Eventually my Richardon display gun will sit in my office on one of Gordon's stands. Tell me more of these strange stands of which you refer. I will need one of these sooner or later.
Sig
Fencer This is the C drum model with my Colt TSMG sitting on it. He as a L drum version which supports the TSMG with an upright piece. Note the nice touch of the 1921 Morgan $. michael http://home.cogeco.ca/~msigillito/8061%20%26%20C%203131%20left.jpg

Sig
Thanks I am very happy with the wood on that gun. I am getting a set of Deerslayer special grips made for my display gun. They should be very nice as well.
