Anyone shot blanks thru a drum mag?

I am getting ready to get ready to start on the M1928A1 model of the blank gun.

One thing I learned working on the M1 is that blanks are very different feeding and

ejecting because they weigh far less than ball ammo with the heavy bullet. Obviously

it's do-able because we see drums shooting blanks in all the gangster movies. Since

the rotor is moving less weight, do you wind the drum to fewer clicks? Or the standard

routine is ok?

I am EXCITED for the 1928A1 Blank gun. The M1s looked amazing and everyone who bought one raved about it. Bob, thanks for the work you do. I wish I had answers for your question. I only have enthusiasm for your endeavors!

Bob, check with TMAN (Greg) he has a '28 with a blank adapted barrel, actually a PK quick change live/blank barrel setup if I remember correctly.

I haven’t tried blanks thru a drum mag. I’m sure it works but can’t comment on how many clicks to wind it to.

It takes 7 clicks of travel just to empty an L drum so I'd think you'll need at least 8 for it to function reliably.
