How Not to Market Thompson L Drums

Recommended Posts

This is how "not" to promote your Thompson L Drums... :D

Although many leading congressmen and women think once you shoot them, you can't use them again:)

Feel free to pass on to the Sportsman's Guide in the unlikely chance they will correct it for future magazines...

Reminds me of the movie with George Burns called "Going in Style", where he, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg are trying to load the holdup revolver with several different sized caliber cartridges. And that was really funny! But this ad is supposed to be "real" One can imagine the photo shoot conversation about what to do with "those bullet things"...

Although not a "Fail" ad by 1917 standards, you probably could not Promote or Market the $3.00-$3.50 "Big Dick" Toy machine gun by Milton Bradley like this today, & yes, these were real Ads during "The Great War" and through the early 1920's

Sample Dialogue:

Johnny, did you have fun playing at Grandpas house today?

Gee, Mom, Yes! Grandpa surprised me with a B___ D____!

You tube link to see it in "Action"
