benedw60
I found this in a box of gun parts i bought at a local gun show and was wondering about the 096tf that is etched in the bottom of the trigger frame and if it had any meaning? rpbcps
I think that may be 57960, 7 in the European style, where the put a line through it, so it matches the 2nd stamped number. Stay safe Richard Edited February 20, 2018 by rpbcps
Adg105200
Yes, I think I have a trigger frame with the electric pen serial number on it. I'll have to check. Andrew
Taliaferro
During the war it was common practice for a TSMG coming in for Depot repairs fora barrel replacement etc, to have the armourer remove the receiver and barrel and replace itwith a new barrel and receiver and reassemble, to get the gun back into the fight. Then as time permitted in the field depot or back at an upper level repair the barrel would be changed and the new barrel and receiver were sent back to field depot and put into stores. This process caused mismatching serial numbers on rec and lowers. This looks like someone trying to realign the serial numberfor inventory.
