There is a C drum on gunbroker. I think its original ? I`m kinda new at the Thompson stuff.

At $4675.00, the current bid, the price seems resonable for a "C" drum in that condition, not as good as mine. but good all the same.
I love the bullet wear marks in the feeds. That drum has done a lot of travel loaded.
Interesting point is the price, which is being determined by the market and not by just some dealer.
Note that it started at $900 and reached the reserve, what ever that was.

Do you think the guy who sold you his Colt C drum and L drum for $750 at the SAR show a year ago wishes he allowed the market to determine the value of his drums?

As soon as more than one person knows about a "deal," the "deal" evaporates.

Hey Murray,
The irony is that you traveled 7600 miles and beat out all the indigenous attendees to the needle in the haystack sci-fi bargain in the entire 3-day SAR (and other fairground buildings) gun show.

How this seller knew enough to hock his wears at the largest gun show, but be oblivious to the value of his merchandise is still a head scratch. If he stumbles on the Gunbroker ad, he will develop an ulcer thinking about the easy $5K he left behind that day.

Did you actually negotiate down his original asking price to boot?

Worse than that Arthur,
At the last SAR show last december just past, he turned up at our table where there was an early "C" drum on sale priced $7500.
I saw him coming and hid out side.
I did not see his reaction!

As I remember when you came back you not only had the C drum, you also had a L drum which you got at a heck of a deal. Some guys have all the luck... I got a great deal on a early C drum - however someone had removed all the writing from both sides.
Way to go Murray! Makes it worth coming to the show..

I purchased the C drum on Gunbroker and received it today. It is in really nice, all original condition, unmolested in any way. It has only a little wear and no dings, dents, or rust.
