First time poster on the M14 board, and I am looking for any advise or opinions.

I'm contemplating the purchase of a Pre-may TRW M14.

It is original, uncut, has the original TRW barrel, few minor rust spots on the receiver.

All input is greatly appreciated.Attached File  TRW BARREL.jpg   61.52K   25 downloadsAttached File  TRW REC.jpg   46.39K   30 downloadsAttached File  TRW.jpg   50.12K   30 downloads

Has the receiver been repaired on the selector mounting boss? Sure looks like a bad weldpost-32671-0-48560900-1518472515_thumb.j

Oddly enough, another pre-may TRW came up for sale at the same time and I chose it instead of the one pictured. Better condition, better price, and Walnut stock instead of fiberglass.

I received it Friday and very pleased with the condition. I will try to get some photo's up this week.

It is in the 600,000 serial number range, so puts it in the first TRW contract run. The barrel is TRW, and dated 3-63, so I'm thinking it should be original to the rifle.
