snipershot1944
I was visiting a friend today who also is an old-timer class 3 dealer. He has some nice pieces including a BAR, TSMG, Grease Gun, MP 34, MP 40, etc. Several of the items are pre86 dealer samples. He mentioned to me today that "at least I"ll get to keep them" I assume when he someday turns in his license. My question is what happens to them when he decides to later dispose of his collection, after he gets rid of his license? Can he sell them to only a dealer, or to anyone? Bob
They would go to a dealer. Unless by some miracle pre-86 samples become transferable http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Normally they would be a tax paid transfer, but I have seen them go out on a F3...all depends on the examiner and when he gave up his SOT.
