Question for FFL Dealers about A&D Book

Hey all quick question:

When logging in a firearm from an individual in your A&D book, is it okay to use their driver's license number or do you have to use their address?

Any help is appreciated.

Unless there has been a ruling I am unaware of -

27 CFR 478.125(e) requires a licensed dealer to record, no later than the close of the next business day following the date a firearm was received, the date of receipt, name and address or the name and license number of the person from whom the firearm was received ............

The license number referred to is their FFL number not drivers license.

That was the reason for my question. I was unsure if "license number" specifically meant "FFL number" as the term is not defined in the regulation.

Individuals don't have FFL's except for those with FFL03 C+R.......

I get that, but the regulation does no say "FFL number", it says "license number". A driver's license number is a license number... The regulation does not define "license number" as specifically meaning "FFL number". That was the source of my confusion.

The only licenses covered by the GCA are federal firearms licenses. (but yeah it would be nice if the G could add one more word to make it completely clear)
