Wouldnt be an import stamp for import into the US under any regulation at the time that such a C+R Sten came into the country. There was no requirement to mark an imported firearm of any type and no imported MGs were stamped. After GCA68 under the new regulations, live, imported MGs were restricted to FFL/ SOTs, govt agencies and law enforcement and were stamped with the ID and address of the US importer. These imported MGs could not be eligible for C+R transfer status in any case since they were registered after the 68Amnesty.
I have no idea who, why or when the ENGLAND stamp was hand stamped onto that gun but it doesnt conform to any US import standards or regulations. FWIW
