Serial number question on M1A1

Recommended Posts

Yes, it is a rebuild stamp AO-44 and AO-45 was used by Maguire Industries' Auto-Ordnance Div, contract W-19-059-ORD-1941.
Savage also had a contract for rebuilds using stamps S-44 AND S-45,contract W-30-115-ORD-1659

BUT all that info and details are in American Thunder III book page 200-201

BTW supplies of the book are shrinking, there will be NO new editions or reprints, get it or regret it

I got my copy about 3 months ago. I could not put it down. Get one while the supply lasts, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Frank for a great read and the knowledge it imparts.

I echo the above! Hats off to Frank for his dedication and hard work on all the book projects. I believe they are the most thorough in the world today.
