ron_brock
I am posting some photos of one of my recent purchases. I was really excited to come across a Federal Laboratories No 225 soft case recently. I am not aware of too many photographs of these online; however I am sure there are some out there somewhere. This case was marketed for when you needed to carry the gun and some rounds of ammunition along with you, 12 rounds as it would be. This particular case is from Federal Labs after they moved to Saltsburg and I would be interested to know if they existed during the Pittsburg days. Swearengen has only one small paragraph on the case, however the one photographed and described is leather reinforced canvas so I would assume that the earlier cases had leather, while later cases, such as this one, have heavier canvas reinforcement. I've also included a photograph of an original sales page that features the No 225 case. Notice this one also appears to be leather reinforced. The photo is intentionally lower quality to prevent copying. Hopefully these photographs will help others to identify their cases and, of course, if any departments have these hanging around there are a few collectors I know who would like to add one to their collections.
dalbert
Ron, That's an excellent addition to the collection! Very nice condition. David
Superdave1953
Cool Case. I've seen others with the leather trim, but almost always in bad condition. Yours is pristine. Recently bought two S&W tear gas pistols from 70s I think.
Terry R.
I have what appears to be a Fed Labs no. 225 soft case that my M50/55 fits in very well. Didn't know for sure what it was 'til now. Shell pockets are sized big enough that even Christie mags fit.

The thing is, my Reising soft case, and every other one I've seen are too small to fit a Reising. It's as if they shrunk over time, or were never really intended for the Reising.
