fred Posted April 4, 2004 Report Share Posted April 4, 2004 My $.02 here. I would probably avoid buying an M1/M1A1 that had the cuts since they are not original. However, if the deal is good for you and the price is fair, get it and enjoy the ability to shoot a drum. Yours was probably not the first to ever have it done. I would NOT put it back, though. That should be at least a 40% deduction off the price of an equivalent gun without the mods. If the price is right it would seem that you would be stuck with the modification.
