Just for the folks keeping track, 13570 1928 Navy is in a display at the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg Texas

Saw it this weekend

Overall nice condition

Wonder if these guns were used in island hopping campaigns or ground battles or they were just on ships or used by guards

A number of guns at the museum are on loan from the military. On occasion, they call in their loans and the guns have to be returned. I used to volunteer at the museum and had to pack and unpack firearms and other artifacts a couple of times. I don’t remember the story behind this gun.
