SEI upgraded SA Select Fire gun numbers

No one knows. I have one early Devine TX conversion that's not listed and a number of other C2's converted a bunch before may of 1986. Records indicate RIA in Geneseo IL 125 were manufactured specifically, but they also converted some existing guns.

How many were "worked on" by SEI? I guess you'd have to call them? That's shop work, not production and to what extent the guns were worked on I'm sure depended on the customers budget and if there were issues with the gun in the first place? The Lee Emerson book series is where I gathered some of the info. Worth buying if you're into those guns as well as several other books on the subject including a couple written by Frank Ianamico who is an esteemed contributor here these days.

Several others did upgrades including Troy Ind.,Tim Lafrance, to name a couple that substantially modified the guns. SEI guns are set up essentially as original with "bolt on" extras. There are also a number of original M14's registered by others that were military contract guns in addition to guns welded back together.

Appreciate the response. I looked at a M1A registry on the M14 Web page (another forum) and it does not look like there were vey many factory select fire M1A's, but who knows. I may call SA and ask them.

Gathered a bit of data, listened to others and it seems that there may have been on the order of 175 or so SA factory select M1A's for non-military (civilian) use.

No solid proof...
