Tell Me About The U.s. 30 Cartridge Cal .45 Magazine

Recommended Posts

These seem to be a tad bit wider and more rounded in front. I am assuming it would be to help eliminate feeding issues.

Are these more reliable than the standard mags?

Are these fairly common and what are the going prices for these type of mags?

Are you referring to the crosby mags ? They look about the same as the seymour mags to me. Whats a standard mag, does it have a name or do you have pictures ?

Jim ,

In my experience these Crosby mags are the poorest quality of all the 30 rd mags. I had several that required some filing at the top just to get them into the gun.

I seen to remember reading in Frank I's book on WW2 TSMG's about a recall and rework on the 30 rd Crosby Mags.

My favorite 30 rd mags are the Seymour mags. Excellent quality and common.
