Blank Adapter plug and thread

Questions

I searched the forum and could not find specifics on the topic. Can anyone tell me the size plug they used, thread pitch, and length for blank fire?

Also, was the barrel easy to tap? Using a surplus 28 barrel for the donor.

Any help would be much appreciated. Yes I am aware of the Phil ordnance barrels but I have this one already in hand.

Thanks!

Yes, I reamed the muzzle first about 1/2 inch deep. Coat the reamer and tap with light oil, and go slow.

if the barrel isn't in the gun I highly suggest you take it and have it done at a machine shop, you want this tapped as straight as possible. both my blank fire barrels came from philadelphia ordnance or howe. the bfa sets they sent were a bit small on the openings for mine. im not running factory springs. both mine have ezpull so I made a 7/32 bfa for mine which cycles the the bolt and ejects without a lot of back pressure or slaming of the bolt. don't ever forget to take that bfa out of there when your done shooting those blanks!!! I never leave mine in even thought they ar blank fire barrels. just a safety precaution
