Tca Shoot In August

Recommended Posts

You might give Tracie a call and get the form to fill out. It lets him know who and how many for all of the events.

I can't wait to go. It'll be my first time too. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

sten guy,

I look forward to meeting you and the many others on this board who will be attending this year. Hotel rooms may be a bit of a problem. There is a major drag racing event nearby the same weekend, so many of the usually-available hotels are booked. The traditional haunt for many TCA folks is the Granville Inn, but I am pretty certain it is booked.

I suggest you look for vacancies in Granville, Newark and Heath. There are some motels at the one exit on I-70 (I can't remember the number) that may have vacancies. It is a bit of a drive to both Tracie's and the shoot (which is on the other side of Newark), but at least it would be a room.

First Sergeant,

You should have gotten your initial material in the Thompson Collector's News (page 11 of TCN #157). If you did not, contact Tracie immediately for a copy of the necessary paperwork. The deadline is May 30, so don't delay. The initial notice in TCN triggers more detailed paperwork from Tracie plus information on hotels, etc.

Good luck, gentlemen! See you at Tracie's...

Roger

I plan on attending and plan on making machingunbooks.com nametags. Wait until we get a little closer to the event and I will start a nametag thread for those who want to sign up for the nametags.

You must be preregistered to attend. Contact Tracie now if you don't have the registration packet.

I'm staying at the Granville as several others are also.

Whew !! I found the form and am filling it out. I already had a room reserved at The Granville Inn so I guess this makes it Official: I'm going.

Sten,

Thanks for posting this. Not sure how I missed the form but I did. I owe you one and I think Mike has a good idea where to go to settle up. I hear it's within walking or staggering distance from The Granville.

Just talked to Tracie last evening....I forgot the form so he will send out Monday. I gotta turn it around quickly as we already have room(s) reserved!

We dilly-dallied a bit http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/dry.gif so we ended up in the Comfort Suites Airport in Columbus for the first couple nights, but Saturday night we will party with you'all as we have a big room at the Buxton Inn (across from the Granville inn, and supposedly "haunted"??!!)

It'll be my whole family again, so if anyone is considering that their Teens might be bored, have them e-mail mine (Jess - 17 and Sam - 15) and they can tell your kids how much fun they had last year!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

I haven't done the display thing at Tracies as last year was our first, but I've got a bunch of really neat, fun Thompson stuff to display.....I guarantee you will all enjoy checking it out!!

We can't wait...hope to meet several more members this year (and see several from last year also!!)

john and family

I "should" be there.

Basically planning on it and hope my plans all work out.

Its about the same time I may be moving and selling a house...yada yada yada.

Anyway, it would be nice to have name tags with our handles on so others know who we are and who to stay away from. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

For some reason, I can't find the address for the federal form 5320.20 to transport my gun to the shoot. I know it was on something that Tracie sent out, and I'm wondering if maybe it was on the form I sent back in to register for the event. Can someone post the address here?

Thanks!

I'll be there along with my STHOMPSON (not a misprint) and my son Michael, 19.

It'll be his first time there, my ninth, I believe. Always a pleasure to see everyone there.

I got a room at the Super 8 in Heath, again.

One of these years I'll make it there, I promise. In the meantime, if the wind happens to be out of the East that weekend and I smell a combination of burnt gunpowder and spilled beer, I'll know where it's coming from! I hope all you guys have a GREAT time there. I don't think it's ever rained during the shoot, has it?
