You now have to subscribe in order to list items or to contact a seller; looking is still free Cost is only $4-6 per month so that's trivial. What is not trivial is that in order to subscribe you have to confirm your identity and link either a bank account or a credit card. That means no more scammers either buying or selling. As another plus sellers can now post 5 ads instead of the previous 3. Traffic on the site has already dropped slightly due to people not subscribing and therefore not being able to bump listings or post new.
