I seem to have a thing for slightly unusual, orphaned military arms, so I bought a Spanish CETME-L rifle in 5.56 mm from the online retailer linked below. It arrived, and it's beautiful. It's made by Marcolmar of original Spanish and US made parts. It functions, handles, and shoots extremely well. Reviews can be found by searching Google and YouTube. A very similar rifle can be had from Hill and Mack. I figure I'd get one while the getting is good, since it's rather doubtful that the EU and UN will allow much more in the way of military gun parts sales.

Weight 7 1/2 pounds. All steel, except for the stock furniture and aluminum trigger frame, as were the originals. Physically smaller than an M16 and larger than an M4. I have no experience with the HK 93, but I know that the CETME-L uses a much smaller bolt and bolt carrier that were purpose designed for 5.56 mm.

The gun uses STANAG M16 mags. They easily and smoothly seat with a positive click and drop free. A new OK Industries mag is included with each rifle. The rifle will not generally take polymer mags because of the extra ridges molded on the outside.

New unissued Spanish accessories are still available on the US market. I recently acquired a bayonet, bipod, and sling.

MarColMar purchased most all of our CETME Model L kits, and all our LV & LC kits to use for manufacturing.
APEX Gun Parts still has the remaining Model L kits listed for sale on the web site:

MarColMar has a thread about the guns over on Militaryfirearm.com

I've been in contact with owner Dave Bane at Marcolmar. LV & LC rifles will be out soon and will sell for $2,000 each. They're taking $500 deposits on them now to reserve one, or both for $1,900 each.

My LV should be finished up this week.

I have a set of the ENOSA scopes that were intended for use on the LV (day and night optics)

A couple of years ago APEX had the scopes in the original transit cases, and I selected mine at that time.
