Keeping Comps Clean

Recommended Posts

http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif I know this has been covered before, but I could not find it. I looked threw the FAQ and 25 pages of the old board. What do you guys use to keep the build up out of the Cutt's.

thanks,

BB

PS. think this should be posted under FAQ's Chris, Nick

And some of us don't use anything.

I just lightly spray with WD-40 after shooting and wipe off the inside and outside of the comp.

I only shoot Federal Red Eagle JHP's which are very clean, reliable and feed in any .45 gun I have and results in very little residue.

More expensive ammo than some, but I don't have the opportunity to shoot so much that the incremental cost is an issue.

Use MPL and a tooth brush. (At least I think that is what it's called. I have some out in the shop, but I'm too lazy to get out there now) Anyway, works real good! However, DON'T let this stuff touch your wood. Can ruin the finish.
