NDLawyer, could you refresh my mind on Mr. Durst and the lesson to be learned. His name sounds familiar, but it escapes me. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif Thanks in advance. Regards, Walter

Mr. Durst in a fit of anger shot and killed his neighbor after the neighbor threatened him. He left in a panic, came back cut the body up into small parts, boys on the East coast call it fish food, and took the parts out to see the fish and crabs of Galveston bay. If I remember right, they didn't find the neighbor or just a few bones. Mr. Durst cleaned up the joint and called police and was arrested. He told police his neighbor was dead and he in panic and fear cut up the body and pitched it in the bay. He was aquited by a jury last week and is off scott free. Of course it helps to have a few million to pay off some people in a jury, if you ask me.

Thanks, Sir Mike. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Wow! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif Eeek!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif Sounds like other famous (ah-em) cases, such as Hinckley, T. Kennedy (Chappaquidick), etc. I know what you mean; It seems that it is true, "one can get all the 'justice' one can afford." http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif Regards, Walter

The nicknames are fun. "Guns and beer", two of my favoritest things.

In some states, if they are breaking in to your house, they are considered a threat and deadly force can be used. Should they survive the initial hail of bullets and the reloading, a burglar who sues is continuing his attack (as far as I'm concerned) and the situation again justifies deadly force http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif We don't exterminate enough roaches in this country.

Hinkley needs to be put down. He not only destroyed several peoples' lives and tried to assassinate the leader of the free world, but his actions resulted in one of the biggest abuses of our freedoms in recent history.

Doug,

What happens a lot ( in my case ) is that when filly out the "identiy"

and password, people tend to put in a handle. I just write Zamm, a shortened version of my last name, Zammiello.

after signing up with so many on line things and accounts, it get's to be a habit.

Cheers,

Zamm, Craig Zammiello

I'd like to add a #4 to NDLawyer's list...

4). if the invader you just dropped turns out to be unarmed, put a kitchen knife in both of his hands. (When you're on the witness stand trying to explain that you were in imminent danger of losing your life, you don't his estate's lawyer asking you , "Why was the knife in his right hand when Mr. Crackhead was left-handed?")

I like Bill in Va's comment. Don't like burglers, and if anyone cares to glance at the old board they would know not to break into my house unless they had ATFE ( or fill in your favorite goverment agencys acronym here ) on the back of their ninja suits. Not really worried about burglars tracking me threw the net.

My acronym BB is more of a habit, when I started at my present employer I was the tallest member of staff (I'm 3rd now) and they called me Big Boy. PK called me a giant when I comented I took a 16 5/8" pull on my rifle stock. After four years of being called BB by the aprox 50-70 people you see every or almost every day you come to think of yourself that way.

Not out to deceve anyone, nor hide. I'm sure the code your computer sends out and the computer knolagable and the agencys that watch for such things could have you found in a couple of hours. My monaker refers to one of the Colts in my colection, one of two I was fortunate enough to receve as inheratance.

Shouldn't be to difficut for most people to dedcuce what calber it is chambered for. I shoot a lot of ACP but the people at Lee (im)Perscision were a little miffed when I called and complained that their dies wouldn't resize cases to hold .451 230grn pumkins.

I'm going to concede argument with Doug and agree it's hard to always match up screen names with peoples names, but when I have busness dealings with people I use my right name. I use a moniker on my CB radio too.

BB

Doug,

I work in Information Security, and as such I am paid to be paranoid. I realize that in today's electronic world, there is much more information than we are aware of or would like to admit about each and every one of us out there if someone really cares and knows how to look. I take the approach that there is no reason to create any more public information about myself than necessary. I generally agree with the other comments in this thread about anonymity, though I also realize there is a very low probability of someone tracking me through this site.

I have had wonderful conversations with you a couple times on the phone and have purchased items from you. I realize that you have not been able to link my real name (Roger Herbst) to my pseudonym of TSMG28, and you give a good argument for being able to know who is involved in our small Thompson community.

Thanks for raising this issue. It has been an interesting thread.

Roger
