maxfaxdude
I'm looking to buy. What is the fair market value of an original serial numbered Colt Thompson 50 round drum?
ppgcowboy
Pictures really help. Condition matters.

gijive
Expect to spend around $3,000.00, depending on condition.
Merry Ploughboy
FWIW, one in very nice, maybe even excellent, condition sold on Gunbroker a year ago for $4495 plus HIS. The auction was stopped early so it may have gone higher. There is one currently on Gunbroker (auction no. 824231469), but that drum has some rust pitting and the entire drum, including originally nickel plated rotor, has been re-blued. Best of luck with your quest. Be well.
maxfaxdude
Some pictures of a C drum I might purchase. I wondering what a fair price is.
maxfaxdude
I saw the L drum on Gunbroker which looks pitted and has been refinished for $1,250. Autoweapons wants $5500 and $5800 for each for 2 L drums in fair condition but that price seems awfully high.

Buying from a private collector, if you can find one that has a nice one for sale, would cost you less, in my opinion.

It can be a nice look, if done right.
maxfaxdude
I spoke with seller on the phone today and he said that he bought it from a well known Thompsom collector for $6K in 2010.
